Enquiry form: details submitted through the website are processed only to deliver your message directly to Lisa’s email. They are not added to a mailing list.
Who is responsible
Lisa Bardell is the data controller for personal information handled through this website and her independent practice.
Privacy questions and requests can be raised through the Let’s Connect page or through one of the direct social contact links in the footer.
Information collected
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, an optional telephone number and a short message. Please do not send medical records, detailed diagnoses or information about another person through this form.
The web host may also create limited technical logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, for security, fault-finding and delivery of the website.
If you contact Lisa through Facebook, Instagram, Insight Timer, YouTube or another external service, that provider handles information under its own privacy terms as well.
How information is used
Information supplied in an enquiry is used to read and respond to your message, consider whether Lisa’s work may be relevant, and—if appropriate—discuss a possible service or appointment.
- Steps before a contract: to respond where you ask about working together.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and protect the website, manage genuine enquiries and maintain appropriate business records.
- Legal obligations: where information must be retained or disclosed to comply with law.
The website does not use enquiry information for automated decision-making or profiling. There is no mailing list on this website at present, and enquiry details will not be added to one or used for marketing.
Sensitive information
A message about therapy or wellbeing may reveal health information, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual life or other information treated as special category data under UK data protection law.
The form therefore asks you to keep the first message brief. If you nevertheless choose to include sensitive personal information, the unticked acknowledgement records your explicit consent for Lisa to use that information only to consider and respond to the enquiry. This is not the basis for any later therapeutic records; those arrangements and any additional privacy information will be explained separately before work begins.
How long information is kept
The website does not keep a separate mailing-list copy of a form submission. It is delivered directly to Lisa’s email. An enquiry that does not lead to work will normally be deleted from Lisa’s correspondence within 12 months of the last contact unless there is a legal, safeguarding or dispute-related reason to keep it longer.
If work begins, relevant information may become part of a separate client record. Its purpose, security and retention will be explained as part of the client agreement. Technical server logs are kept only for the period set by the selected host for security and operational needs.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use.
Identity may need to be confirmed before a request is completed. Some rights have legal limits, for example where information must be kept to establish or defend a legal claim.
Questions and complaints
Please contact Lisa first through the routes described above if you have a privacy question or wish to exercise a right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Current contact details and guidance are available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
This notice will be reviewed when the form, booking system, mailing list, analytics or hosting arrangements change.
